Every Card Counts — Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 22, 2026

Every Card Counts is published by Ryan Dormanesh. This policy explains how the iPhone and iPad game handles information.

The short version

The game has no advertising, advertising identifiers, third-party analytics SDKs or developer-operated player accounts. We do not sell your information or use your play history to track you across other companies' apps or websites. You can play without connecting to Game Center, and the game works without iCloud.

Information kept on your device

The game saves your current and parked hands, undo history, card XP and levels, card appearances, card biographies, Daily Deal progress, event rewards and settings on your device. It also keeps a limited local activity log containing game event names and timestamps. This information supports gameplay, restoration and troubleshooting. The game does not automatically send these activity logs to us.

iCloud collection sync

If iCloud is available, the game uses Apple's CloudKit service to sync collection progress in your private iCloud database. This includes card XP, earned appearances and rewards, card journal information, Daily Deal crowns and growth, and event progress. Installation-specific identifiers and iCloud account identifiers help keep records separate and resolve sync changes.

Your current hand, parked hand and undo history stay on the device where you play. Your private iCloud collection is not a public profile and is not exposed to other players. We do not have a developer dashboard that lets us read your private collection. Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple's privacy policy and your Apple account settings. iCloud availability and storage are controlled by Apple.

Optional Game Center

If you choose to connect Game Center, the game uses Apple's GameKit service to authenticate your Game Center player and report achievement progress. It can display your Game Center name and Apple's achievement dashboard. You can stop achievement syncing in the game's settings. Doing so does not delete achievements already stored by Apple or sign you out of your Apple account. Apple's privacy policy applies to the Game Center service.

Support, feedback and logs you choose to share

If you contact support, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your message, contact details, screenshots or an exported activity log. We use it to answer your request and troubleshoot the game. Do not include passwords, payment information or other sensitive information in a support request.

Preparing a playtest log does not send it. The system sharing screen lets you choose whether and where to share it. Apple may also provide crash reports or TestFlight feedback under your Apple privacy and testing settings; those reports are handled through Apple's services.

Retention and your choices

Local game data remains until it is removed from the device or replaced through the game's functionality. Deleting the app removes its local app data, but may not remove iCloud data or copies in device backups. iCloud collection progress may return when you reinstall and iCloud is available.

You can manage iCloud storage and app data using Apple's iCloud settings. Game Center achievements and Apple-managed backups are controlled separately by Apple. We cannot erase private iCloud collection data from a developer dashboard. For a support message you sent directly to us, use the support page to ask about access or deletion; we retain support correspondence only as needed to handle the request and meet applicable obligations.

Children

The game does not ask players to provide a name, email address, age or a developer account to play. It has no chat, public player profiles, advertising or in-app purchases. Apple account and Game Center features remain subject to Apple's rules and parental controls.
